Why hasn't this story been big news here in the US? I couldn't even believe it when I first read it, because I get the daily newspaper, and I typically have CNN Headline News on in the background when I'm at home, yet this is the first I've heard about it! A quick Google turned up many more accounts, though, including one from the BBC, so I suppose it's true.

I would imagine incidents like this influence feelings about the US in other nations, and help fuel anti-American sentiment, which is ultimately bad for all of us. So shouldn't we know about it when something like this happens?
